Let Alenity take care of the notifications
Find the banks, pensions and utilities to tell. We can handle the notifications and replies.
Start with a statement, a bill, their address or a list.
Don't cancel the direct debit before you notify them. Broadband and mobile accounts are usually closed or transferred as part of the bereavement process, and cancelling early can cut off a service someone in the household still uses.
What usually happens next
- Contracts in their sole name are usually ended by O2 once they have proof of death.
- Someone still living at the address can often take over the line or keep the phone number.
- Ask whether any device balance is outstanding and save photos or messages from the phone before it is closed.
