Who is it for?

Do I need to create an account to try it?

No. You can run the full triage and see your checklist without signing up. An account is only needed to save your progress or use a paid option.

How long does the triage take?

Usually a couple of minutes. The questions branch, so you only see the ones that apply to you, and you can pause at any point and pick up where you left off if you save your progress.

Is it really free to start?

Yes. The questions, your checklist, guided forms and saved progress are all free. You only pay if you'd like Alenity to inform organisations and handle the admin for you.

You answer a few short questions, and which ones we ask depends on your situation. Alenity uses your answers to build a personalised checklist with the next practical steps, ordered by what matters most right now.

Does Alenity replace a solicitor?

No. Alenity handles administrative work and helps you understand the process. For probate, complex estates or legal advice, we'll point you towards a qualified solicitor.

Can I use it alongside a funeral director or solicitor?

Yes. Alenity sits comfortably alongside the people already helping you. You can share your checklist or evidence pack with them at any time.

Will Alenity contact organisations on my behalf?

Only with Done for you, and only with your authorisation. You see every message before it goes out, and you can pause or stop at any time.

How do I track what's been done?

Your workspace shows each organisation, the status of the message, and any replies received. Nothing slips through the cracks and you don't have to chase.

Free to start. The Alenity Companion is £29 one-off and Done for you is £199 one-off. Both include VAT.

Are there any subscriptions or recurring charges?

No. Alenity is one-off pricing. You won't be billed again, and there's nothing to cancel.

What's the difference between the Companion and Done for you?

The Companion (£29) supports you while you do it: it helps you track and understand everything that's moving, answers your questions, nudges you when something needs doing, and gives you a support line with people who have been through this. It does not include us writing or sending notifications. Done for you (£199) is where we do the notification admin itself: we write and send every letter, chase every reply and keep going until each organisation is closed, so there's nothing for you to do in between.

Can I start small and add more later?

Yes. Many people start free, then pick a paid option from their checklist when they can see exactly what's involved. Both paid options are one-off payments with nothing else to buy.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. The Companion (£29) is refunded in full on request within 30 days of purchase. Done for you (£199) is refunded in full on request until we send the first notification on your behalf; after that the fee is not refundable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Where is my data stored?

On secure UK and EU cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. We only collect what's needed to help you.

Only you. Our team can only access your account with your explicit permission, for example to help resolve a support request.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from your profile, or by emailing us.

Do you share information with organisations?

We only share what's needed to act on your behalf - for example, sending a message to a bank you've authorised us to contact. We never sell your data.

Yes. Alenity operates under UK GDPR. You have full rights of access, correction and deletion over your data.

Can Alenity register a death for me?

Registering a death has to be done in person by a qualifying person. Alenity helps you book the registrar appointment and prepares everything you'll need to bring.

Does Alenity submit Tell Us Once?

We prepare a complete Tell Us Once pack and guide you through submitting it. You stay in control of the final submission.

What about probate and inheritance tax?

Alenity flags whether probate is likely needed and our tools help you estimate inheritance tax. For the application itself we recommend a solicitor where the estate is complex.

Does Alenity work in Scotland and Northern Ireland?

Yes. The guidance adapts to the legal process in England & Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

What if the estate is complex?

Alenity still helps with the admin and messages. We'll suggest bringing in a solicitor where it would save you time, money or stress.
