Don't cancel the direct debit before you notify them. Broadband and mobile accounts are usually closed or transferred as part of the bereavement process, and cancelling early can cut off a service someone in the household still uses.

What usually happens next

  • Contracts in their sole name are usually ended by VOXI once they have proof of death.
  • Someone still living at the address can often take over the line or keep the phone number.
  • Ask whether any device balance is outstanding and save photos or messages from the phone before it is closed.
