Build my checklist

Before you get in touch, what to have ready

Google One will tell you if they need any documents. Having these to hand helps them find the account.

  • The deceased's full name, date of birth and last address
  • The date of death
  • Account, policy or reference numbers if you can find them (old statements or emails)
  • Your relationship to the deceased and your own contact details
  • The email address the account was opened with
  • Somewhere to note any reference number they give you

What happens next

Google One say to expect a reply within 28-56 working days. If you have not heard back by then, get in touch again with your reference.
