What Aviva needs
Nothing is needed to notify. Aviva may later ask for details from the death certificate or grant of probate.
Good to know
Locates from name, DOB and address; policy number helpful but not needed
Before you change any payments
Don't cancel any payments before you notify them. Some pensions and policies pay out or continue to a partner, and stopping payments early can affect what's due.
